Student Opportunities
Florina Psychotherapy is seeking Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) student interns to join our fully virtual psychotherapy practice. We offer a supportive, inclusive environment where emerging therapists can grow clinically, explore diverse therapeutic approaches, and gain meaningful experience working with real clients.
Our practicum opportunities are designed to foster confidence, competence, and professional identity within a trauma-informed and culturally responsive framework.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking students who meet the following criteria:
Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO)
Active student insurance
Graduate student enrolled in the MACP program at Yorkville University
Availability for 10 hours per week (mornings, afternoons, or evenings)
Vulnerable sector check and clean criminal record
Eagerness to learn, grow, and engage in reflective practice
Appreciation for diverse perspectives and lived experiences
Prior mental health experience preferred, but not required

External supervision with an approved Yorkville University supervisor
Access to a comprehensive resource library including therapy tools, articles, and book recommendations
Free ongoing PESI courses to support continued learning
A collaborative, inclusive, and welcoming team and community environment
Monthly site meetings, with additional check-ins available as needed
Marketing and administrative support to help you build your caseload and meet practicum requirements
Opportunity to continue working with clients post-practicum, if mutually agreed upon
Flexible scheduling through our secure virtual Jane platform
