About Us

Florina Psychotherapy draws its name from the Latin flor, meaning “flower” or “to flourish,” symbolizing growth, resilience, and nurturing. Our logo features the Kalachuchi flower, reflecting the strength and grace we aim to cultivate in our clients.
The name also honors the founder’s grandmother, Lola Lina, a survivor of World War II and immigrant to Canada, whose courage inspired Maligne to create a space where future generations can thrive safely.
Florina Psychotherapy celebrates the resilience of immigrant families and honours their sacrifices, while also welcoming individuals from all backgrounds. Our practice is rooted in warmth, inclusivity, and a deep respect for the diverse stories each person carries.
Our Mission
We empower individuals to heal, grow, and thrive. By providing a safe, compassionate, and inclusive space, we help clients embrace their strength, navigate life’s challenges, and live fully. Free consultations are offered to help clients find the right therapist and ask any questions they may have.
