About Us

Florina Psychotherapy draws its name from the Latin flor, meaning “flower” or “to flourish,” symbolizing growth, resilience, and nurturing. Our logo features the Kalachuchi flower, representing strength, endurance, and grace — qualities we aim to support and cultivate through therapy.
The name also honours the founder’s grandmother, Lola Lina, a survivor of World War II and an immigrant to Canada. Her courage and resilience inspired the creation of a therapeutic space where individuals and future generations can heal, feel safe, and thrive.
Florina Psychotherapy celebrates the strength of immigrant families and honours their sacrifices, while warmly welcoming individuals from all backgrounds. Our practice is rooted in compassion, inclusivity, and deep respect for the diverse stories, identities, and lived experiences each person brings to therapy.
Our Mission
We empower individuals to heal, grow, and thrive. By offering a safe, compassionate, and inclusive therapeutic space, we support clients in navigating life’s challenges, reconnecting with their strengths, and moving toward meaningful, fulfilling lives.
Free consultations are available to help clients ask questions, explore their needs, and determine whether Florina Psychotherapy is the right fit.
